“And Sarai said unto
Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in
unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened
to the voice of Sarai.” – Genesis 16:2
When Abraham listened to the voice of his wife rather than
the voice of the Lord he ended up with Ishmael via a slave girl (essentially a
bastard). Now before anyone flies off
the handle, please understand that a born again Christian man should be able to
listen to the voice of his born again Christian wife. Her job is to compliment and help her husband
so obviously we should see our wives a blessing and one also hearing from the
Lord. In fact in the bible wisdom is
depicted as a ‘she’. Anyway, back to
Abraham… At the beginning of Genesis 15 the Lord spoke His promise to Abraham
of his coming lineage:
“And Abram said, LORD
God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house
is this Eliezer of Damascus? And Abram
said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is
mine heir. And, behold, the word of the
LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall
come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir. And he brought him forth abroad, and said,
Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and
he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And
he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.“ – Genesis 15: 2-16
Then Abraham asked the Lord how he would know that he
(Abraham) would inherit the promise and the Lord responded by commanding him to
present a sacrifice (Genesis 15: 8-11). But
then the Lord brought some bad news/good news, in the form of another promise
made in Genesis 15: 12-14:
“And when the sun was
going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him. And he said unto Abram,
Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not
theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years; And
also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they
come out with great substance.”
So God is saying to faithful Abraham that his promised divine
seed would become a stranger in a land that was not their own and that they would
be enslaved for 400 years – a prophecy of the captivity in Egypt under the rule
of the Pharaoh(s). This can also be seen
as a type of what has happened to the human soul. We have all been captivated by the world and
our souls have been vexed by the powers of darkness and we have thus become enslaved to Pharaoh (Satan), the world and our fleshly desires. But God is faithful to deliver us – yet deliverance
from the world does not happen all at once nor is it easy – it takes time and
it is hard (see Exodus 23: 20-33). This
is totally contrary to the ‘word of faith’ proclaimers that confidently state
that ‘Satan is under our feet’ yet that ‘church’ is blind, deaf and in prison –
thinking they are free and serving the Lord!
God said in Genesis 15:14 that he would judge the Egyptians that His
people had been subject to and then His people would come out with great
substance (a type of the church at the day of Pentecost)…But then He says in
verses 16 and 17:
“But in the fourth
generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is
not yet full. And it came to pass,
that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a
burning lamp that passed between those pieces”.
Since
the days of Pentecost have passed, the church has been being filled with the
iniquity of the Amorites. Jesus said in
Matthew 23:32: “Fill ye up then the
measure of your fathers.” but read the whole chapter to get the full
context and impact of what the Lord is saying to his people. But then
the last generation of this captivity shall repent as we enter into the days He
describes next in Matthew 24 – the end of the age. The world is now a very dark place and will become
even darker very quickly and there will soon be a fiery furnace awaiting those
that are that burning lamp who have agreed with God by walking going through [with]
that sacrifice that He has required (Genesis 15:17). The servant is not above the master – Jesus was
our forerunner and we must meet him in the middle and do as He says and as He does.
In the here and now, the real church of Jesus
Christ is reflective of tiny Israel that we see on a current world map. And of
course the world scoffs at God’s Word and still to this day tries to reduce and
ultimately eliminate Israel. They are
contrary to the Most High God who has said that He has given the land that far
exceeds those current borders (Genesis 15: 18).
And in further contrast, the world sees this large, mega-giant Christianity with
billions of ‘members’ being led by an abomination known as Roman Catholicism which now effectively states that the Israelis are no longer God's chosen people but it is now the [Catholic] Church)
(see also a form of godliness in 2nd Timothy 3). That which the
world decrees is all but lies. However and thankfully,
that is not the real church. This is
why we pray that people still ensnared in this entire system (all denominations) can see! The real church is still scattered about
being formed into a presentable offering that God will then ignite to go into the
entire world to proclaim the gospel as a witness to Jesus Christ by the Holy
Ghost and then the end shall come.
The church has for all intents and purposes for the last 17
or 18 hundred or so years been presenting Ishmael to the world instead of Isaac. Jesus’ said in His last statement to His disciples before
He ascended to heaven in Luke 24:49:
“And, behold, I send
the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until
ye be endued (clothed) with power from on high”
The church just prior to Pentecost was obedient
to that command and the results of the promise were realized. But over time, Satan, the world and the flesh
have compromised the mission. We find
that between the end of Genesis 16 and the beginning of Genesis 17 that it appears
that 33 years passed before the Lord spoke to Abraham again. And then, prior to Him speaking specifically
to the birth of Isaac by a barren Sarah he initiated another convent with
Abraham. This was the covenant of the circumcision
of the flesh of the foreskin (Genesis 17: 9-14). He states that without this circumcision,
that soul will be cut off from God’s true people – because he would have broken
God’s covenant (i.e., been disobedient).
It’s no wonder that God chose this type of covenant to show us exactly
what it takes to inherit the promised land – especially to men – which God
requires to lead His church. The cutting
of the penis?!? Lord – isn’t there another
way? It’s no wonder that Abraham fell on
his face and laughed when God told him all of this (Genesis 17:17). This is also another way to
show us that being delivered from Satan, the world and the flesh is not an easy
and painless endeavor but we must proceed in faith daily believing it just the
way His voice has spoken it to us else we hear in error: “Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be
given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he
seemeth to have.” – Luke 8:18. The
circumcision on the eighth day is also reflective of a daily sacrifice required
as depicted by the eight pieces offered by Abraham per God’s command.
To summarize, the church has since gone out to the reach the
world (Gentiles) without being filled with the Holy Ghost. All the missionaries have done is feed people
some, in most cases, very unappetizing food, while most just fly back to their
mansions and continue on with their daily talk shows, leaving the starving and
fly infested children there with their buckets of goop and some tracts or
bibles that they have no understanding of.
The contingent left behind by the missionaries in these places is then set about with the
task of making clones of those that have volunteered to join the cause – so you
end up with more Baptists, Methodists, Buddhists, and Pentecostals etc – still no
power. You have street preachers going
out to the city street corners with signs and tee-shirts quoting bible
scriptures and yelling at people with mega-phones while they engage in conversations
debates with people that are demonized and ending up being made to look like complete
fools to the people walking by and watching on the YouTube…still no power. All because they have not really hearkened to
the voice of the Lord to ‘tarry within the confines of the church until they
are cleaned and filled with the Holy Ghost’. Another
way to put it is as Jesus said to Peter: “Simon,
Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But
I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted,
strengthen thy brethren.” – Luke 22:32.
He requires for us to be made clean before we go out. He is saying to stay put in the church and
let iron sharpen iron before we go out there (WITHOUT ANY POWER) and be made a
fool out of – which bears repeating – is exactly what the church heretofore for the most part has
been doing. In other words – it has been a work of
the flesh and it will only sow to the flesh – it will only produce Ishmael – a bastard
– unless we are truly hearing from God and then being obedient to what He has
said. This is why he gives us apostles,
prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers (Ephesians 4: 11-12) to work on and
perfect the body of Christ so that they would then be equipped to go out and
handle the devil effectively – to do the same purpose for which the Lord came –
to destroy the works of Satan. Now at
this point I would clarify something. I’m
not saying that everything that the church has been doing for the last 18
centuries has been total vanity. Many
people have been turned to Jesus Christ and been given the opportunity for
salvation. What I am saying is that the
time is now for the church to see the landscape for what it really is and when that appropriate
number huddles up in that upper room again and stays there until the Holy Ghost comes
again like the sound of a mighty, mighty rushing wind - game changer!!! Satan you have a problem!
That is this reporter’s view and to quote Walter Cronkite “and
that’s the way it is, Tuesday, December 25, 2012”. Another reporter colleague of mine and sister
in Christ has also posted an article on this ‘Christmas’ day 2012. I can’t think of a better time to speak out and
come against the devil than when he’s right in your face like he now with his phony
‘Christmas spirit’. This is the way it
is and we pray for all of God’s people to turn and come out of this evil world
and not look back.
One thing that stood out for me what this caption under a
picture of Satan Santa:
“Children will remember what we have told them about Jesus
upon realizing that Santa is not real...and it will cause them to wonder if
belief in Jesus is just as much a myth as Santa.”. This is a master stroke of genius on the part
of Satan. He purposely makes a correlation
between that which he knows will inevitably be exposed as a lie to the children (Santa Claus)
and Christmas which he has masterfully tied lied to the birth of Jesus. This will most certainly tie together the lie
of Santa Claus and Christmas with Jesus Christ and therefore Jesus will then also
be in doubt. To that end Christmas
itself is entirely a lie from Satan.
There is such thing as Merry CHRISTmas.
There is no Christian ‘reason for the season’. Jesus wasn’t even born in December. It’s all just a big fat devil lie and
multitudes have fallen for it hook, line and sinker. Jesus Christ does not mix in with that which is
from man or Satan. We must conform to Him and that can only happen if we are circumcised from this world.
“Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy. For thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of thine anointed. The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne. If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore. For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation. This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.”
Psalm 132:9-16
